What is Nantucket Salvage?
Nantucket Salvage is a project of SA+C dedicated to preserving the island’s character—and the planet—by saving architectural materials from landfills and giving them new life.
Salvage tells a story. From historic beams to beloved old chairs, we keep meaningful pieces out of the dump and in the community, where they belong.

SALVAGE ON NANTUCKET
SA+C’s vision for a Nantucket Salvage Center incorporates intentional design that honors Nantucket’s unique history and architectural heritage, preserves its natural beauty, and improves the social health of the island’s residents and visitors.
The Center would collect, store and distribute architectural materials (primarily wood) to the Island, with the goal to create a broader movement of deconstruction and waste diversion on the island. -
